ACTIVITIES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
FOR THE 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR

 

2008-2009 REACH FAMILY EVENTS

September 4th - Kick Off - 5:00-8:30 - Gymnasium
October 3rd - Career Night - 7:00-8:30 - Gymnasium
November 7th - Bake-off/Brain Bee - 7:00-8:30 - Gymnasium
December 5th - Craft Day - 2:00-4:00 - Gymnasium
January 9th - Game Night - 7:00-8:30 - Gymnasium
February 6th - Spelling Bee - 7:00-8:30 - Family Life Center
March 6th- Public Speaking Night - 7:00-8:30 - Family Life Center
April – To Be Announced
May 1st - Project Fair/ Used Book Sale - 7:00-8:30 - Gymnasium

All of these events are held at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in either the Gymnasium (southwest door) or the Family Life Center (southeast door). These events are open for the public to attend and observe. Only REACH members may participate in the activities with one exception: anyone may purchase items at the used book sales.

 

TRANSCRIPT BOOT CAMP

This special seminar will cover:
• Session 1 – Diplomas, Accreditation, Graduation, Forms & Format, Academic History
• Session 2 – Grades, Carnegie Units, Textbook Equivalency & Time Logs
• Session 3 – Curriculum Tips, Class Rank, Grade Point Average & Weighted Grades
• Session 4 – Extracurricular Activities, Test Scores, Privileged Information,
Vital Attachments, Portfolios & Resumes

Who should come:
• Parents who teach junior/senior high students at home
• Parents who are considering home education for any student age 11 or older
• Parents who have children enrolled in correspondence or umbrella support
programs…after all, you will submit the information that ultimately credentials your
child. You owe it to yourself to explore all the possibilities that can be documented!
• Supervisors of correspondence, umbrella, or co-op programs for home schools … anyone who assists parents with high school recordkeeping and /or guidance tasks.

COST: $29 per Family
(This covers the cost of the syllabus booklet & CD.)

Dessert and Informal Fellowship – 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Presentation and Discussion – 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Brookdale Baptist Church – 1401 40th Avenue South, Moorhead – Enter East Door
Cost - $15 per family
